The Power-Series Double-Flex Composite Disc Couplings offer a premium solution for applications that require high torque transmission as well as precise performance. The double-flex design provides additional shaft misalignment capacity in comparison to the single-flex couplings while still offering the high torsional stiffness required for smooth, accurate operation in demanding applications. The Power Series Couplings are maintenance-free and are an excellent option for aggressive motion profiles such as reversing loads, starting and stopping, indexing, etc.. These couplings provide zero backlash operation to eliminate lost motion and remove the fatigue, fretting corrosion, and premature wear issues often seen in metal disc couplings.

Zero-Max offers Power-Series Double-Flex Composite Disc Flexible Shaft Couplings with several mounting options to meet a broad range of motion control application requirements. Which Hub Style Should I Choose?
Although the ideal hub style is both application and preference dependent, clamping hubs are the most popular style and often the first choice of engineers. Clamping hubs simplify installation, do not damage the shaft they are attached to, and engage the entire shaft circumference to offer sufficient holding power in most applications. They are also suitable for shafts with or without keyways, although keyways are often recommended for maximum torque capacity (see transmittable torque charts). Zero-Max offers both a single-piece (integral) clamping hub as well as a two-piece (split) clamping hub for larger bore options and easier installation. Shrink-Disc Hub connections are also available when needed for their high torque transmission on keyless shafts. Shrink-Disc hubs provide a uniform design and clamping force promoting smooth operation at high speeds.
The Power-Series also comes with Adaptor Mount Hub options which are compatible with ISO 9409-1 mounting standards and mount directly to many flanged gear reducers, motors, robotic equipment, etc. – providing an integrated attachment solution. There is also a standard Flange Hub option that can be attached to specific system outputs for the most compact solution possible.
