Engineered for Precise High Torque Performance 

The Power-Series is the latest addition to Zero-Max’s field proven Composite Disc Couplings (CD® Couplings).  Built upon decades of experience, the  design of the CD Power-Series features higher power-density, providing higher torque capacity in a smaller and more compact solution.  The CD Power-Series also features the proven composite disc technology that has made Zero-Max the choice of engineers in the most demanding motion control applications.  From its initial concept through its high quality manufacturing processes, the CD Power-Series is engineered for precise high-torque operation.
 
The Power Series provides Zero Backlash and High Torsional Stiffness performance and features an extensive offering of new standard mounting options including Clamp Hubs (integrated clamp and split clamp options), Shrink-Disc Hubs, Adaptor Mounts which meet ISO 9409-1, and  Flange Hub options.  These flexible shaft couplings are designed and constructed to provide servo-rated performance in the toughest conditions – including those with motion profiles that consist of repetitive speed changes, starting/stopping, indexing, reversing, etc.


Zero-Max first created the Composite Disc Coupling years ago and has become the standard for OEMs who require performance above what a metal disc coupling can provide.  Our CD Couplings accommodate high speeds, aggressive motion profiles, and eliminate the fatigue and fretting often seen in metal disc designs for increased lifespan.  The Power-Series builds off that proven technology with a premium solution that provides greater power density, allowing for higher torque transmission in a smaller coupling package to meet the needs of today’s most challenging requirements.


Power and Performance  

The stiffer disc pack used in the Power-Series of CD Couplings has lower misalignment capacity in comparison to our traditional CD Couplings (although similar to metal disc couplings), but delivers higher torque capacity in a smaller diameter coupling.  These latest flexible shaft couplings from Zero-Max are available in single-flex, double-flex, and custom models, to meet the needs of even the most challenging applications.

Power-Series Flexible Coupling Options 

Single-Flex Power-Series Composite Disc Couplings  

CD Power-Series Single-Flex Composite Disc Couplings provide the highest torsional-stiffness along with limited parallel shaft misalignment. These shaft couplings provide the most compact solution and are available with the full selection of standard hubs, as well as customization options.

Double-Flex Power-Series Composite Disc Couplings 

CD Power-Series Double-Flex Composite Disc Couplings have a longer overall length to accommodate a higher amount of shaft misalignment with lower reaction loads than the single-flex version.  These Double-Flex shaft couplings are also available with the full selection of standard hubs and customization options.

Custom Power-Series Composite Disc Couplings
