Double-Flex Power-Series Clamp x Clamp CD® Couplings

The Power-Series is the latest addition to the field-proven Composite Disc (CD) Coupling line from Zero-Max that Engineers around the World rely on. The unique design captures the benefits of our proven flexible disc-pack along with maximum power density – allowing for higher torque in a smaller size than the traditional CD Flexible Shaft Coupling line.  The Double-Flex Series provides for higher shaft misalignment capacity and lower reaction loads in comparison to the single-flex configuration.  These CD Coupling Power-Series solutions are ideal for high-performance and demanding applications by featuring zero-backlash operation, high torsional stiffness, damping characteristics, and long maintenance-free operation.

The “Clamp x Clamp” configuration features a traditional Clamping Hubs on both ends.  This works with both keyed and non-keyed shafts (see transmittable torque charts for specifications.  Clamping Hubs are the most common connection method used due to simple installation and strong holding power.  This configuration is available in all sizes of the Power-Series and Zero-Max offers both a double-piece integrated clamping hub as well as a two-piece (split) Clamping Hub option for larger bore sizes and easier installation.  Please contact the factory for more information.
