The Intelligent Alternative to Friction-Type Torque Limiters.

Torque Limiters are designed to prevent mechanical overload and machine failure by “releasing” during torque overload conditions to prevent driven components from experiencing excessive torque loads. The Torque Limiter can protect critical equipment if a jam-up or other event causing excessive loading occurs by disconnecting the drive shaft from the driven components, providing enhanced protection.

H-TLC Torque Limiter Features

The unique features in the Zero-Max H-TLC give the designer broader parameters in solving motion control problems.
Benefits include:
  • Durability
  • Dependability
  • Repeatability
  • Adjustable Torque Setting
  • Ability to Trigger Automatic Alarm and Shut-Down Systems

The H-TLC Torque Limiter provide four (H-TLC-500) or six (H-TLC-1000) re-engagement positions, providing enhanced flexibility. Zero-Max can also offer special H-TLC torque limiter designs with only a single re-engagement point for applications which must support a synchronous phase relationship.

H-TLC Torque Limiters Provide Enhanced Durability, Dependability & Repeatability

Zero-Max H-TLC Torque Limiters provide an enhanced design solution to various motion control problems. H-TLC Torque Limiters deliver service you can trust, providing improved durability, dependability, and repeatability.

Durability

The H-TLC torque limiter is designed for hostile operating environments. During it’s life, the torque limiter may be subjected to moisture, corrosion, acids, salts, or any other contaminants that could inhibit the torque limiter's proper operation and prevent disengagement.  Constructed from special polymer materials that are resistant to these conditions, the H-TLC will never rust and withstands many corrosive elements and abuse.

Dependability

The spring-loaded convex pin and detent design reacts to overloads, but not to lubricants.  Unlike friction-type designs, you can submerge an H-TLC in oil and still depend on precise disengagement at your design limits.

Repeatability

H-TLC Torque Limiters do not generate enough heat to affect the transmittable torque. The H-TLC’s resilient fiber reinforced nylon and acetal materials will not build up or retain the kind of heat that can alter disengagement characteristics on other designs.
