Composite Disc Floating Shaft Coupling Options

Clamp-Style Hubs

Composite Disc Couplings with Clamp-Style Hubs are the preferred method for connecting the coupling hub to the shaft as they engage the shaft’s entire circumference. This hub style offers more holding power, is typically easier to install, and will not damage the shafts. Clamp-type hubs from Zero-Max are available with keyways or without keyways, depending on preference and application.

Set-Screw Hubs

Floating Shaft CD Couplings with Set-Screw Hubs require a keyway on the shaft and in the coupling, so a key can be used to transmit power. This “traditional” way of connecting couplings to shafts offers good holding power and easy installation.
