Up To 50 Percent Higher Load Support For Hydraulic Motors And Pumps Using Custom Zero-Max Overhung Load Adaptors

Oct 01, 2012

Plymouth, Minnesota: Designers have a new option in dealing with challenging overhung loads in hydraulic systems. Zero-Max now offers creative solutions for increasing radial and axial load support for hydraulic motors and pumps using its custom Overhung Load Adaptors.

Handling up to 50 percent greater loads, these custom designed Overhung Load Adaptors utilize enhanced designs to meet the needs of specific applications. Working within the proven OHLA design configuration, Zero-Max engineers use creative techniques drawing on over 1300 custom designs to meet new and unusual requirements. Among these techniques are custom inverted bearing designs and multiple lubrication ports that increase the OHLA’s load capacity, bearing life and smooth system performance.

Designed for either face or foot mounting, standard OHLA’s are available in over 50 models with input bore sizes that range from 5/8 inch to 3-1/2 inch. SAE mounts available include A, B, C, D, E and F mounts with 2 or 4 bolt mounting flanges. OHLA’s are available with many shaft options including splined, threaded, tapered and extended output shafts. Special input bores and housing modifications are also available.

Manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 quality standards, Zero-Max OHLA’s are ruggedly built with shafts precision machined from high quality 130,000 PSI stress-proofed steel. All custom OHLA designs include a detailed CAD approval drawing submitted prior to manufacture.

OHLA applications include oil drilling systems, forestry shredders, recycling systems, cold planers for road paving, industrial conveyor drives and many others.
