The End of Shaft Mount Type J is used where you have limited or reduced shaft length available.  The Type J model is designed to mount type B or C style hubs for sprockets and pulleys. Either the shaft or the mounted component can be used to drive the load.  Since the mounted component is located very close to the bearing supports, the overhung load is reduced.
