Schmidt Flexible Couplings

Schmidt Flexible Couplings provide precision for slightly misaligned shafts and are designed to adapt to various drive conditions.

Different configurations of the coupling and the choice of three durometers (soft, standard, stiff) of the center disc result in the ability of this coupling to be adapted to various drive conditions.

• Precision sintered hubs
• Molded center disk preloaded on precision shafts
• Three durometers available for center disc so coupling may be tailored to the application requirements
• Multiple configurations (single disc, double disc, and double disc spacer)
• Adaptable to many drive conditions
• Zero backlash
• Torque range: 6 - 630 in.lb.
• Shaft sizes: 1/4" - 1"
Other shaft sizes are available on request

The Flexible Coupling may be built into a floating shaft design by including one coupling at each end of an intermediate shaft.

Among the many applications where the Flexible Couplings are used include collators, printing machines, packaging machines and pumps.

How to Select a Flexible Coupling

If you wish, you can use the Sizing Software
which will take your information and automatically
suggest the correct Schmidt Coupling.

1- Use this formula to calculate your required HP/100

2- Look in the performance/dimensions chart for a coupling size which has an HP/100 RPM rating equal or greater than your calculated requirement.
