The ideal candidate will have experience (minimal 3-5 years or Associate's degree in Machining) on CNC Lathes (Mori Seiki is a plus) along with some experience on Mills.
Sets-up, edits, and operates one or more machines with no supervision - short runs.

SUMMARY Tests and inspects manufactured products at various stages of the production process. Creates, updates and troubleshoots all coordinate measuring machine programs. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have a minimum of five years of experience in metrology/quality control. Must be proficient in the use of a variety of precision measuring equipment, including all standard hand/surface equipment and coordinate measuring machine. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience writing coordinate measuring machine programs. Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and have a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Must have a working knowledge of statistical process control methods. Formal training in mechanical inspection including ASQC certifications for mechanical inspector and quality technician preferred.
The ideal candidate has programming experience in one or more of the following CMM software applications: PC-DMIS or MM4 on Brown & Sharpe machines.
