SUMMARY Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in metrology/quality control. Must be proficient in the use of a variety of precision measuring equipment, including all standard hand/surface equipment and coordinate measuring machine. Must have the ability to edit and trouble shoot CMM measurement programs. Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and have a working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Must have a working knowledge of statistical process control methods. Formal training in mechanical inspection including ASQC certifications for mechanical inspector and quality technician preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred. Working knowledge of cad software preferred.
